Today we decided to go on a little bike ride that ended up being almost 30 miles from about 9a.m. to 5p.m.  We left Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden toward downtown Golden.  It was such a beautiful spring day, so we kept riding.  We made a stop at Golden’s Visitor’s Center.  What a nice little place.  The volunteers were very friendly and there was a ton of info.  We rode along the little creek that runs through town.  Then we ate at Golden Natural Foods Store.  It is a wonderful little locally owned store that has some fantastic sandwiches.

We made our way towards the Coors plant but got sidetracked when found the entrance to Tucker Gulch Trail.  The trail is approximately 5 miles connecting Golden with Wheatridge.  We decided to go for it.  It was such an enjoyable ride, but I have to tell you, my rear was getting so sore.  I hadn’t ridden on a bike on an all day trip in a very, very long time.

When we made it to Wheatridge, we discovered that we were right next to Camping World. We decided that we would take a shopping break before heading back.  The trip back was just as enjoyable as the trip there.  We simply were riding a bit slower.

It was a full day of taking our time and biking.  We are loving the beautiful weather and taking advantage of enjoying the mountains while we are here in Colorado.  Below you’ll see our biketography (bike+photography) of the day.
