Robert and I have been in storms, since we both grew up in tornado alley, but the wind we’ve experienced for the past couple of weeks here at the foothills west of Denver is RIDICULOUS!!  Gusts up to 70 miles per hour a couple of weeks ago, 50 miles per hour today!

Yesterday, we moved from Chatfield State Park in Littleton to Dakota Ridge RV Park in Golden.  The drive here was just a short distance, but the wind made it very interesting.  Robert did a fantastic job keeping the RV on the road.  Robert even braved the wind to take to RV to a RV/Car Wash.  Both the Jeep and the RV look much better without all the road gunk, but he was certainly cold and wet.

The wind just won’t stop!  The temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 50s today, and we want to hike, but the wind makes it miserable.  The wind makes it noisier in the RV than when we are driving.  We can handle the cold, snow, or rain much better than this non-stop gusty wind.  The news says the winds will die down this afternoon, but we have our doubts.
