We were on the road by 7:30 AM, leaving our camp spot at Chappell Park and headed toward Cheyenne, Wyoming. It was very important for us to be in Cheyenne today to take care of some business.

At 9:00 AM, we left Nebraska and crossed into Wyoming. We stopped to take a break at a TA Travel Center and have a snack.

We arrived in Cheyenne just before 10:30 AM and our first stop was the UPS Store. We had house closing documents emailed to us on Friday and we needed to print, sign, notarize, and ship them back. Luckily, the UPS Store could do all of it for us. We were in the process of selling our rental property and the closing was set for September 9th. We wanted to make sure to get everything back to the title company in plenty of time. It took a while at the UPS Store, but it was a very productive stop.

Another errand we needed to do was stop by the post office. We shipped a bag that Robert happened to have with us for his trade blanket at Ft. Bridger. Someone from New York that we’d met at the CLA show a week or so back had messaged Robert through Instagram and decided to buy a bag. Yes, we probably could have shipped it at the UPS store, but we opted USPS.

After that business was taken care of, we went to Lions Park to walk the dogs, then Culver’s for lunch, and finally Sinclair to fuel up.

Yay! Finally, by almost 2:00 PM, we were done in Cheyenne and headed for a camping spot.

At 3:00 PM, we arrived at Pilot Point Road in Medicine Bow National Forest to camp for the night.

Campsite number 5 is in Medicine Bow National Forest at 8,800 feet in elevation. Almost deafening quiet here. Internet is doing really well here and cell service is extremely good. Working from here is a pleasure.

Traveled over 160 miles today. The suburban did 11.1 mpg on the fill-up with an overall average of 11.62 mpg the whole trip so far. Still not bad. We can tell we’ve definitely been going up hill. The Snowy Range is in the distant view. Probably end up there above 10,000 feet. The wiener dogs are happy to be in cooler temperatures too!!!
