While in camp we saw Moose. That was our highlight of camping off of Forest Service Road 318 on the Snowy Range.

After quite a bit of searching, we realized that we had left the charging cord to Robert’s computer back in Missouri. Maybe we could find a universal charger at a Wal-Mart? We weren’t certain, but there didn’t seem like there were any Best Buys anywhere near.

We need to be at Fort Bridger for their annual Rendezvous by Friday. We haven’t been on the interstate yet this trip, but looking at our work schedule, it soon became evident that we were in need of camping with good internet for at least three days. We already knew that for the Labor Day weekend at the Ft. Bridger Rendezvous, there would be little to no service.

Reluctantly, we decided to make our way to I80 and be closer to Ft. Bridger and camp at a known site that had good internet to work.

We left the Snowy Range early and made our way to Saratoga, Wyoming then up to Rawlings. We found a Walmart that was not a Supercenter that actually had what we needed. Thank goodness!

That being said we put down some miles. 336.72 miles to be exact in 9 hours and 20 minutes of driving.

We drove into Fort Bridger on the Bridger Valley Historic Byway. The town was getting ready for this weekend’s festivities.

We made our way to the 1825 rendezvous site just outside of Burnt Fork, Wyoming to let the dogs out and take some pictures. Then we crossed into Daggett County Utah and through the Flaming Gorge Recreation Area headed to a campsite we stayed at last year in the Ashley National Forest.

By 4:20 PM, we arrived at Moose Pond to use the vault toilet and walk the dogs around the pond. Then we set up camp in Meadow Park Campground just a few miles down the way.
