IMG_4236This past Sunday, we had the opportunity to go to the Springfield Cardinals game against the Corpus Christi Hooks.  I had never been to Hammons Field and it had been at least seven years since Robert has gone.  We were thankful that a friend gave us some tickets, because otherwise, we wouldn’t have thought to even go.

The weather was a little chilly, but the rain held off.  We had such a great time.  Our seats were close to the field, just behind the Hook’s dugout.  Robert took the time to practice with his camera.  He doesn’t really do much sports photography, so it was a good time for him.  Since the stadium wasn’t filled, we walked around so he could get different angles to shoot photos.

We ended up leaving at about the seventh inning.  The smell of the food was just too much!  I guess being the frugal people we are, we left the stadium and went straight to the grocery store to get all the fixings for our own hot dogs.  I ended up making hot dogs with hash browns, chili, cheese, onions and bacon.  Probably not the most healthy dinner, but it sure did taste good, besides for the same cost of dinner for the two of us at the stadium, we have lunch for the week!

Check out some of these fun shots Robert took.  We wouldn’t mind going back, we enjoyed the afternoon.
