Our Norcold fridge has its quirks.  The darn beeping drives us nuts!!

When the door is ajar, it beeps.  We are sure that it has something to do with the seal or the door latch.  It seems to go in spurts.  When we close the doors and walk away, it may begin to beep after minute or two.  We get up and push shut, only to have it beep just moments later.  Sometimes this is repeated dozens of times in a day.  Sometimes we go days without it causing fits.  What is really annoying is when we haven’t been in the fridge for hours and suddenly it begins to beep.  I’m the only one that hears it consistently.  It will even wake me up in the middle of the night.  It is a soft, steady beep, but at the decibel that really annoys me.  Robert, on the other hand, can’t hear it much of the time.  He can be sitting right at his desk, with the fridge right behind him, and he’s oblivious to the constant beeping!  What is up with that?! (I personally think he secretly hears it, but waits for me to push the door close.)

The quirk is really not a big deal, just an annoyance.  Or perhaps it’s a hearing test, better yet a test in patience.

We have found the solution to all this insanity…four Post-it Notes!  Yes, that’s right, the versatile Post-it Note can even fix the refrigerator.  Simply putting them on the door where they would touch the sensor is just enough to STOP THE INSANITY!  Funny thing that we’ve lived with the frustration for this long and we were able to come up with such a simple fix.  No beeping for weeks!
