Before beginning our RV adventure, we had researched as to what state would be the best to be a resident of that is beneficial for the full-time RVer.  Florida happened to be one of the states recommended for the full-timer.  What a coincidence, we were already Florida residents since moving there in 2008.

When we bought our Alfa in 2011, it was much more convenient to maintain our Florida drivers licenses and vehicle tags.  We traveled more during our first year or two, but now, we seem to have gravitated back to Missouri.

We chose to come back to Missouri, close to family, to build our business.  We’re glad to be around for our parents when they need us.  As our business grows, we will be heading out on the road, but we’ll always come back to Missouri.  We are drawn to my family farm and will retire there someday.  As our parents age, we will take the time to be available to them when they need us the most.

So, now that we’ve come to the realization that we will be drawn back to Missouri, it is time to officially change our residency.  The great thing is that our insurance will be MUCH cheaper using Missouri rates.  The drawback is that Missouri requires safety inspections, whereas Florida doesn’t.  Robert has a few things to do to the Jeep to pass inspection.  Simple stuff really.  Like fixing the horn, which hasn’t worked since he put in the heater core a couple of years ago.

I’m glad to become a Missouri resident again.  Hopefully this time, I’ll finally take a decent photo for my license (I’m not counting on it though).
